Forging Temperature Effects on Crack Tip Creep Behaviour of Hot Hammer Forged Ti-6Al-4V Alloy

چکیده

The creep behaviour of hot hammer forged Ti-6Al-4V alloy under different forging temperatures has an essential influence on their high-temperature service performance. In this article, the mechanical property and at were first investigated experimentally. Then, in view critical effect microcracks other defects life components forging, characteristics tip a 2 mm crack characterized by finite element method. results show that when was 1000°C, improved, steady-state rate residual deformation significantly reduced. addition, strain decreased apparently during creep, gradient region also This indicates can be controlled appropriate temperature process might delay propagation to improve components.
